“HOW TO STRENGTHEN DEMOCRATIC VALUES IN OUR SOCIETY” Conflicts are an inevitable phenomenon in every community, in particular, intercultural conflicts are the result of coexistence between people with different cultural codes who share the same geographic space, and who have not learned to deal with diversity. Intercultural conflict is a complex situation that is constituted on a structure of social relations, that is, conflicts faced by people (interpersonal conflict), groups (intergroup conflict), organizations (social conflict) and nations (international conflict). Intercultural conflict is defined as the confrontation between people or cultural groups with incompatible objectives. The conflict can produce in the people who are participating in the process diverse emotions, feelings, attitudes and behavioral actions. In the same way, conflict can be interpreted or valued in different ways by the people who experience it. Likewise, experience is defined as an emotional frustration in conjunction with the perceived incompatibility of values, norms, personal orientations, goals, resources, between a minimum of two parties belonging to two different cultural communities in an interactive situation. Most situations of intercultural conflict are based on misunderstandings or cultural ignorance between different cultural groups. Although also, history has shown that intercultural conflicts arise for political or religious reasons. Ideas that promote healthy coexistence through respect as a democratic value for the intercultural society of our time. 

Visiting places for example, shelters, acyls for the elderly, orphanages and so on. So that there is more respect among people and that there is no discrimination.



Visit foreign places, or indigenous peoples, so that different cultures and different languages are known.



The promotion, through events and conventions, of diversity and plural thinking, in terms of cultural creation, ethnic origins, interrelation with foreign cultures.



As a consequence of discrimination, conflicts are produced that are approached from various theoretical-conceptual models that explain the

adaptation processes of immigrants. Among the most cited in the literature is the acculturation model of John Berry (2001). Acculturation is a psychosocial construct that represents an adaptive process of immigrants and the society that welcomes them to achieve satisfactory intergroup relations. Acculturation establishes that emigrants face two options in terms of coexistence in the receiving society....
