Introduction involving the steps of an effective introduction as discussed in class and in your book. Hook/Attention Getter: Ladies and Gentlemen, I pose you with a question today. Have you ever looked at a doll and thought, I wonder if they could follow me around like a friend? What if you could change the way your companion looks and interacts with you. What if you wanted a companion that was unique from others? Three Points: To start, April is going to give an overview of our product and the features that it has. Then, Jason is going to explain how our product works, its specifications, and what it can be used for. And finally, Danelle will explain the pricing and availability of our product. Thesis: The Chris P. Bacon Doll is the perfect toy for children around the world. A toy that can be customized and follow kids wherever they go and teach them about inclusivity, is the perfect toy for children today. And with this speech, we intend to show you how. II. Overview and Inspiration A. Chris had a hard beginning. 1. His back legs weren’t fully developed when he was born. 2. He was adopted by a doctor after his first owner wanted to put him down due to his disabilities. 3. The doctor made him a wheelchair to help him walk, causing Chris to go viral online. B. Many children suffer from disabilities, which is where our product comes in.

1. Our goal is to teach kids that their disabilities don’t make them worth less than their peers, and to teach all children to include others and don’t judge them by their looks. 2. Our doll has many features that make Chris great for children and parents both (transition to features) III. Features and Benefits A. Chris is meant to look like a stuffed animal. 1. He has a big smile and bright eyes, which is a warm welcome to the child. 2. He has a soft, fuzzy texture, as this often comforts children. 3. He talks in a soft childlike voice to create a sense of relatability for our target audience, children. B. Chris is detachable from his wheelchair. 1. This allows children to dress him up in his interchangeable outfits. 2. Children can also change the wheels on his wheelchair, creating customizability, which isn’t only fun for children, but also allows them to be creative. 3. Detachability is convenient for parents, as they can remove Chris and clean spills and food off of him if children accidentally get him messy. C. Chris has internal mechanisms that allow him to move around. 1. These are small and hidden deep inside of him. This prevents children from damaging or choking on the small pieces. 2. This feature also makes it easy for parents to change his battery, as children won’t be able to easily access the battery pack. Summary: To briefly summarize our product’s overview and features, it is a multipurpose doll based on Chris P. Bacon, a disabled pig. Our doll will educate children on disabilities/inclusivity. He has many features, including having the comforting presence of a stuffed animal, detachability for creativity and convenience, and internal mechanisms safely stored within his body to keep children safe. IV. The total number of applications of the Chris P. Bacon doll are quite numerous.

A. The toy can be controlled by a remote control or through our free mobile app to either move around or speak. 1. To illustrate this, as shown in the diagram, the toy can move around in a straight-forward linear fashion in addition to rotational motion. 2. Not only that, but when certain buttons are pressed on the remote control or app Chris P. Bacon will either make a pig noise or recite a hilarious pig pun. B. If that was not enough, the mobile app also allows for customized recorded messages to be uttered by the doll using the voice of the person who created the message such as a parent or grandparent. C. Lastly, the doll can be dressed in an assortment of outfits of your choosing. With all of the applications that the toy has been discussed, I will now tell you about all of the specifications of our great product. V. The first thing to consider are the specifications. A. In terms of the dimensions of the Chris P. Bacon doll itself, the length, width, and height are 14, 7, and 9 inches, respectively. B. Next, the wheels will come in three different sizes with diameters starting from largest to smallest will be 6 inches, 4.5 inches, and 3 inches. C. Following this, the toy will weigh a total of 3 pounds, and can travel upwards of 1.5 feet per second. D. Now I will consider the internal components of the doll which will consist of an open-source, Arduino circuit board to allow for advanced users to further customize the toy however they want to, and a speaker that produces a sound of about 70 decibels; in other words, the noise level of a normal speaking voice. E. Next, the remote control will come equipped with Bluetooth technology that can send signals that can reach up to 30 feet. F. Finally, the Chris P.
