INTRODUCTION

In recent decades, the prevalence of excess weight has been increasing significantly throughout the world, with alarming figures reached in the child and adolescent population. The problem of healthy eating consists of the effects that excess weight has on health since it is related to multiple chronic diseases prevalent in our society, which not only decrease the quality of life of our population if not also their life expectancy. The main objective of the research is to increase knowledge about healthy eating habits. This implies promoting the habitual practice of physical activity and encouraging interventions that promote healthy eating. The importance of healthy eating is to have a better quality of life at all ages and avoid contracting diseases for the well-being of oneself. The present monograph is organized in three chapters: in the first chapter it hints at the concept and origins of healthy eating, in the second chapter it explains the classification of food and in the third chapter how poor diet influences society. In short, it can be announced that this research work provides reflection on important aspects of having or obtaining a good healthy diet.

HEALTHY NUTRITION

1.1. DEFINITION OF HEALTHY NUTRITION Healthy eating is one that has nutrients with energy, since it is vital for all people, which is related to physical activity and is closely linked to each other (Montero, 2003, p. 1) Healthy eating defines the health, growth and development of individuals. Ministry of Education (2007), in its Guide states: Healthy eating is the basis of our life; one of the variables that accommodates our rhythm of life extensively. To fulfill daily activities, energy depends on the way we eat. On the other hand, when the diet is inadequate, our health suffers and we suffer from a lack of nutrients (Aranceta, 2007, p.12) Healthy eating is food consumption and a good balance. Since it favors us a good growth, physical and mental development. On the other hand to complete a good state of health physical activity is important. Since this complements us to be strong and healthy (Cárcamo, 2006, p.1).

IMPORTANCE OF HEALTHY NUTRITION

Healthy eating is important because it favors the good state of health and reduces the risk of chronic diseases such as obesity, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, different types of cancer, anemia, osteoporosis which allows to have a better quality of life in all ages (Calaña, 2006, p. 1).

A good healthy diet is important because it allows us to have a good health. Since choosing good food consumption gives us the necessary nutrients and energy that is vital for each person. Therefore we must take the necessary measures to improve our nutrition and form good habits food.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A HEALTHY NUTRITION

A healthy diet is characterized more than anything by the use of a wide variety of foods in the daily diet, good proper habits and daily exercises are important to lead a healthy life

VARIED

SECURE

• That there should be a good selection of foods from each group that make up (Velasquez,2006, pg.27).

• No dose of biological or chemical contaminants, that is, it is free of microorganisms, toxins and / or health contaminants (Velásquez, 2006, p.26).

• That this according to the tastes, customs, availability of us themselves and each person's financial resources (Velásquez, SUITABLE 2006, p.27).

HARMONIC

• With a proportional balance of macronutrients that integrates it (Velásquez, 2006, p.26).

SATISFACTORY

• Sensorially pleasant, that is to say neither too much nor too little,must meet the needs of each person with respect to their sex and age (Velásquez, 2006, p. 25).

COMPLETE

• It contains all the nutrients that the body needs and in adequate amounts. (Velásquez, 2006, p.25).

BALANCED

• A greater presence of a wide variety of fresh foods and of mainly vegetable origin and with a scarce presence of both alcoholic beverages (Velásquez, 206, p.26).

2.1.

TYPES OF FOOD

These foods are what contain energy necessary to perform different physical activities like: walk, run, do sports which these energy food is found in sweets, honey, oils, dried fruits like almonds, walnuts, chestnuts, etc. (Book, 1997, p.39).

These foods are what form and repair tissues of the body and muscles. It also allows us to repair the parts of the body that have been damaged like that wound healing, cuts, blows, etc. Is food class it found in milk and all its derivatives, red meat and white, eggs and legumes (Book, 1997, p.39).

These foods are what contain the nutrients necessary to maintain the smooth operation of the body, improve vision and keep skin healthy. This kind of food is mainly find in vegetables, vegetables and fruits (Book, 1997, p.39)

2.2.

CAUSES OF BAD FOOD

One of the causes of not having a healthy diet is obesity among other diseases, Meléndez, G (2008), explains that: Overweight or obesity is a difficulty in which various causes intervene for their develpment. Therefore, to promote the acceptance of eating habits healthy, to avoid overweight, promote better health in the short and long term, which is necessary to carry out actions that involve both the person and to the environment around them.

➢ Obesity and Overweight: Obesity is an eating disorder, which has been caused with the presence of emotional problems as well as with excessive consumption of energy. It is frequent that in the feeding of adolescents the abundance of cupcakes or some drinks that provide excessive amounts of sodium. (Thuman and Maxwell 2011, p. 107).

➢ Malnutrition: Among the poor people, malnutrition is often more serious in children, who need many nutritious foods to grow well and stay healthy (Thuman and Maxwell 2011, p. 107).

➢ Cancer: The increase in life expectancy has also caused that the incidence of certain types of cancers to be increasing in the adult population. Today it is known that the diet plays a role preponderantly in the development of these conditions. (Thuman and Maxwell 2011, p. 108).

➢ Hypertension: High blood pressure blood can cause a lot of problems, such as heart, kidney and stroke. (Thuman and Maxwell, 2011, p.108).

3.1.

PROBLEMATIC In recent decades, the prevalence of excess weight (overweight and obesity) has been increasing significantly throughout the world, being alarming figures reached in the child and adolescent population. In the social sphere, the problem originates from the effects that excess weight has on health since it is related to multiple chronic diseases prevalent in our society (cardiovascular, diabetes, hypertension, different types of cancer, bone, muscle problems, etc.), which not only decrease the quality of life of our population if not their life expectancy.

3.2. RECOMMENDATIONS To have a good diet it is necessary: Establish a schedule to consume our food, eat meat, fish, egg, chicken, etc. Also increase the consumption of vegetables and fruits in food, take 6 to 8 glasses a day to cleanse the body. Therefore, we should not consume too much coffee, do not abuse condiments in meals, reduce salt intake in food and consuming whole grains (Ayela, 2010, p.38).

CONCLUSIONS:

From the research carried out on the lexicon of healthy eating, reaches the following conclusions: ✓ Healthy eating is a key factor to keep us healthy, this is characterized by the consumption of foods with a variety of nutrients that favor a good physical and mental development. ✓ To have a good healthy diet it is necessary to consume different types of foods that contain vitamins, proteins and minerals, to be able to grow healthy and strong, as well as not to contract various diseases. ✓ The consequences of poor nutrition leads us to contract different types of diseases such as obesity, osteoporosis, hypertension, anemia, various types of cancer, which decrease the quality of life of people if not also their hope to live. ✓ A good healthy diet is when we consume nutritious foods that they favor us in every way for the physical and emotional well-being that we need persons. Therefore, this is characterized by the use of a wide variety of foods which must be complete, sufficient, adapted, varied in our daily diet together with physical activity that is a vital accompaniment.
