Q: Do women’s relationships get affected by what they read in their horoscopes? D: 46 female undergrad students were randomly assigned to two groups: horoscope reviews with positive and neutral love advice. They were asked to complete a Astrology Awareness Questionnaire to assess their knowledge of and belief in astrology and were asked to complete questionnaires about their relationship before and after they received their horoscopes. A: The researchers were concerned if people’s lives are affected by what they read in their horoscopes then they are potentially base their lives on false information. They predicted that individuals’ who read positive horoscope reviews would rate their relationships higher and individuals with more knowledge about astrology are more affected by their horoscopes. F: The results of the astrology test showed that total scores on the 12 questions correlated highly positively with the final belief question (rs = 0.81, n = 46, p = < 0.001). For the relationship questionnaires, the results indicate that subjects given the positive horoscope mean scores increased slightly afterwards, while scores for those given the neutral horoscope did not change, but this difference was not found statistically significant. I: The results didn’t show that horoscopes with positive love advice significantly improved women’s rating of their relationships more than those with neutral advice but it showed that those who know more about astrology are more affected by what their horoscope says....
