Dear Mrs Smith, I am writing in regard to your announcement made in the latest issue of your magazine about the new program Back in Time. I am more than happy to submit my application and I truly hope there will be no doubts why it is me who deserve it. Firstly, one of the things that makes me so excited is the fact that I can choose the period of history, which I would like to see the most. Never have I had to ask myself more difficult question! Fortunately, after thorough thinking the decision was made - the ancient Greece! Not only owing to the famous myths surrounding this time in history, such as worshipping a lot of gods, but also because of Olympics! I must say I am a big fan of all types of sports and my curiosity about the way it might have looked thousands of years ago is huge. Moreover, seeing Acropolis without any damage that has been caused under the influence of time, would be a terrific experience, which I could not possibly miss. After some thought about all of the incredible that may happen to me, I realised there could be some obstacles that I will probably be forced to face, for instance how am I supposed to watch Olympic Games when being a woman? After all, only men were allowed to attend it. Thus, I think, maybe pretending to be a man would be an option. Needless to say, there should be some difficulties in getting used to living in a place so different than my current one. Yet, it is worth it. Were I to express my opinion about that kind of programs and the idea of them, I would say I respect and admire it more than words can say. Little do people know that those initiatives makes us not only more knowledgeable but also aware of the history of our world. Therefore, I believe there should be more programs such as Back in Time.
