The main workers in the Maquila were Mercedes and his son, Miguel. What happened when Miguel worked in the metal workshop? Miguel’s heart felt a little weak due the loud noise of the sewing machines. What happened to Miguel’s mother while she was working in the Maquila? While she was working in the Maquila, Señor Costas shouted her, because our character, sometimes, slept. Why did Miguel cry? He cried because he felt that he had the obligation to help his mother in the job, as his father told him. How old is Tonio? He is twelve. Where was Miguel’s house?
